I got a 15m version of this cable to connect my Sky HD box to my Optoma HD25-LV projector. It works fine when used to connect them directly. However, when I inserted a NEET 2-way HDMI splitter between the Sky box and this cable, it no longer works. I tried it in both the output ports of the splitter, and into the TV, and it didn't work. Repeating the exercise with a much shorter cable, and all connections work. Neet say that, in their extensive experience of HDMI, the issue is probably the thickness of the conductors in the cable being too small for a 15m run. They recommend 24AWG for 15m. This cable is 26AWG (which is a smaller cross section). Alternatively, they suggest I get a signal booster box. I've not yet decided what to do. I don't really want another box in the system, but a 24AWG cable is very expensive. Physically the cable and connectors seem fine.

I see a lot of people here have had problems with this cable, with a lot of them saying that it doesn't work.Well, it does. Certainly. However, the reason why it wont work for some people is that this cable is DIRECTIONAL. Most hdmi cables are able to be used whichever way around. I know about this directional issue because my electrician put mine in the wall of a new build in 2014, behind all the plaster board, the wrong way around! It didn't work following a test. I realized that due to having a signal booster in-line, it was probably directional (otherwise how would the signal booster know which signal to boost, the one on the left, or right!). I took off the plasterboard, turned it around, replaced all the plasterboard!!!!! and repainted. It worked first time. ARC worked as well as CEC. I have a full HD tv and it was perfect. No noise at all. BUT, I then shifted the TV a bit and because the same electrician hadn't left much cable sticking out of the wall, the connector snapped - ping. They aren't terribly strong. So that was it. No hdmi. I wasn't going to replace the lead because it meant waaaaay too much effort, so I left it dangling out of the wall and used a different cable with the PS3 and amp nearby. UNTIL this weekend (Feb 2017!!). I finally bit the bullet and attempted to mend the plug. I bought 2 self crimping plugs for £15 each, and they failed horribly. I spent a day pfaffing about. I also bought a solder plug with a great big strong protective plug. I then spent 3 hours re-soldering a new plug on the end. I even bought a HDMI cable tester (£15) to make sure it worked before attaching it to my valuable equipment. I soldered everything (new super small soldering iron) and tested. It failed the test, time and again. I gave up, went and had a couple of beers and in a fit of peak, i decided to hang it all and attach the blasted thing anyway. Boom, first time with the PS3 it started up perfectly. It works with all features, CEC, ARC etc. It still failed the HDMI test using the tester I bought (it showed everything was shorted). I then realized that the in-line booster was probably causing all sorts of mayhem for the test equipment so ignored the results. So, long story to a shorter version; the cable definitely works and works well, but it is directional. There is an arrow on the cable with a label telling you which way to point it (amp to tv). It has a slightly weak plug at the end so be careful and it cannot be tested with a normal tester. I hope this helps another hard-working fool like me.

I'm an engineer and whilst not an electronic one have spend years working on electro-mechanical systems that cost hundreds of millions. And when I see home hifi cables advertised in the likes of What-HiFi that cost more per meter than the stuff we use to connect power management systems to dynamically positioned ships that cost more than small towns to build I know there is something wrong. The epic levels of utter trip spouted in the magazines I genuinely feel needs investigation for basically punting out utter guff that people end up spending hundreds of pounds on. Take HDMI cables. They are digital cables. 1's and 0's. If that 1 or 0 gets to from source to end point then no matter if you have an anaconda costing more than a new oven or a £1 cheapo, the signal is the same. Period. If the digital information is present then its there no matter how the cable looks or costs. And this cable is cheap. And it works perfectly as I expected it too. Not only that, it's pretty well made as well with nice solid moulded plugs and chunky(ish) cable. Bottom line is, 'Why pay more?'

Bought for using with a KVM switch. Plugged everything in and it all worked - just what I wanted. Feel really good quality and I like that they are quite short - don't have metres of cable to spare. I would definitely buy again.

Consegna come sempre puntuale e perfetta.
