Maybe it's my setup. but this cable did not work from the start. I was to go from my gaming PC across the living room to my 4k TV and got no picture at all. I also tried it directly on one of my monitors on my desk also no picture. I will be returning this. - Update, if you suffer from an intermittent signal, it may be that your devices may not be supplying sufficient power to the "Active" cable. I recommend that you get something like this (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08MFG27XM?psc=1) in addition to this cable, my setup now works perfectly!!

Having used a 7m copper HDMI cable for my PC setup for many years with no issue, it became a slight annoyance that after moving i needed a 10m cable to reach from my PC desk to the living room TV. The first cable i brought cheap from that auction site didn't work, so I spent more money on a high quality v2 cable with exactly the same results. it managed to send the lower resolutions, but refused to work with 4K. This is when my headache began. I started checking the signal boosters, but found most of these did not support 4K, nor the HDCP 2.2 pass through. Being a tech savvy guy i thought i had exhausted my options until i discovered the fiber optic version of a HDMI cable. Being fully aware of how fiber optics worked, i knew straight away this would be my solution. I remembered the original use of fiber cables was for 5.1 audio, via SPDIF, which itself is almost obsolete these days. I imagine these cables must be something of a new breed, as searching around online these cables are scarce and extremely expensive where these Amazon ones are literally half the price, but do the same job. I can confirm that this will solve your cable woes. Its worth pointing out that the cable only works one way round, so make sure you check the connectors that each end are in the right ports. Also, like with all fiber optics avoid running it anywhere that could be trodden on regularly and avoid sharp bends in the cable. The cable is well made, but won't be indestructible.

I bought this to get a more robust connection to my projector which is a long way from my amp. At first it worked pretty well, it has a very thin cable too which helped installation. The other night the picture suddenly became noisy, then a few seconds later the picture went altogether. This was after less than four months and maybe 100 hours of use - we only use it for watching movies on the projector. We ran a cable over the floor to prove optical lead was at fault. Then we found when we tried to plug the optical transmitter end into our laptop the laptop completely froze- I’m guessing the transmitter end has failed and is overloading it! We are going to try to get our money back but I’m not holding out much hope!

As a home theatre system builder I have an eye for quality, and these cables are just that: quality. Moreover, a 10-15m HDMI span (typically useful for projector installs) would set you back around £200 not so long ago, so the price of these cables is also impressive. Just remember to install them the right way around. These cables are one-way, so check the plugs on the cable and ensure the one marked 'source' goes into your source and the other end into your display.

Simple idea of a fibre optic transfer of the video HDMI information together with standard copper wires for the control and 5v power etc. The transducers for converting optic <> electrical are housed in the HDMI plug covers so very neat, but you do have to get source and screen the correct way around for it to work. Yes it easily works to its 30m length with no degradation. My only worry is they mention the fibre optic cable is more fragile than the copper equivalent and just as with fibre broadband there is a minimum radius bend that it will handle. Mine is used for presentations and so I wind mine up after use in the theatre on a small cable drum and so far so good in 4mths use.

Overall I was really pleased with These and I could see The difference in picture Quality as soon as I connected Them up. There really designed for your 4K player and help To bring out That extra depth and colour when you play a 4K movie from your player. its no real beef That 4K movies can sometimes look a little darker when playing Than say a standard Blu-ray movie which was The problem I was experiencing. even Though I had The 4K TV and player and it always states on The back of your 4K movies packaging That you need To update your HDMI Cable I somehow seemed To ignore This. perhaps at The Time Thinking I had spent enough on my 4K equipment. finally purchasing This I am glad I did. My 4K movies now look I suspect as They should do colours are more richer and Those night Times scenes more solid and visible. Quite easy To connect Though you need To make sure you connect the right ends into your appliances. These however are clearly marked for you on The ends of your cables. mine run from my TV into my 4K Player full instructions on The actual performance of The HDMI cables are enclosed so you get a clear understanding of Their function. admit for an HDMI cable They are a little bit on The pricey side Though be it you will only need To buy Them once. if you have been experiencing The same problems I had when playing a 4K movie Then These cables should solve That problem for you. overall Highly recommended.

I was using a "Certified 4K 60fps" conventional copper 10m HDMI cable to feed video to my 4K projector. It worked okay from the 4K blu ray player although the picture quality was not as good as I thought it would have been. However when using PS4 pro we were losing the picture 10 -15 times an hour for 2 - 4 seconds. Doing some research I found this fibre cable and bought it. The difference was incredible..... the clarity of the 4K image was immeasurably improved (it has always looked a little blurry) and we have not had a single picture loss event in 30 hours of use. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY ENOUGH!! Not the cheapest - but worth every penny.....and I am not in any way connected with the seller and I bought the cable myself. I have not rated durability as I have only owned it for a week, but it looks well made.
