Overall extremely happy with this. I bought it for my 93-year-old mum because the remote that came with her tv has dozens of tiny buttons which are hard to see and fiddly to press and she never used most of them. This actually functions better than the original, which was often slow/unresponsive, and is a million times simpler. The set up was slightly tricky: considering the product is aimed at those with poorer eyesight, it seems daft to have the instructions printed in minuscule type and they were not the easiest to understand. I think most elderly folk would need help. There is supposed to be an auto setup function but I couldn't get this to work so I had to programme each button individually. Still, it wasn't hard to do once I got the hang of it and Mum is delighted, which is the most important thing. Good value and works great.

It's a remote with only very basic functionality. BUT, that is exactly what I wanted/needed for my partially sighted elderly mother. It is refreshingly uncluttered and the big buttons make it easy to use for someone who doesn't need or want all the bells and whistles......... and it works on an LG TV.

Doesn't work with new JVC TV. Despite following all the steps multiple times to try and set the channels - which is a huge faff - all it would operate is the volume and on/off button. Returned for refund. It looks great but definitely doesn't work on my mum's TV.

Although the remote is simple the input button is directly below the on/off button so very easy to press by mistake- this is ok if the person can sort it out themselves but for anyone with an elderly person with memory issues it creates a problem. On our 3 rd one in 6 months as the on/off button gets worn fairly quickly.

Whilst all the keys were large and easy for my 98 year old M in Law to use they were too slow to react. For example the volume key when pressed took ages to get louder. Furthermore accessing any three digit Channel was impossible for her to manage. So so disappointing as we thought it would help with her diminished sight but alas not quite fit for the job.

I had to find a replacement remote after my dog at the original LG remote for my TV. This remote worked right out of the box. The Netflix, Home, and Amazon Prime dedicated buttons where in the same place as the original and worked as expected. The button to open the LG 'live' channels was just labelled as 'List' and in a different location on the remote. Other than that very happy with purchase.
